For Harrison and Charlotte’s spring wedding, the couple wanted to enjoy an occasion that was traditional and elegant, with something for all 60 of their guests to enjoy. The ceremony was taking place at the church that the couple has frequented since they were children, having grown up in the same town. The reception was set to take place at a local hotel, with the function room beautifully decorated with flowers, lace, and candles. The catering was an important thing to consider as the couple wanted the menu to be traditional and delicious while ensuring that there was a dish for guests of all ages to enjoy. Hog Roast Birdwell was contacted to provide our formal dining package, with a few additional dishes alongside the main course.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Birdwell team is planning on starting the menu with a classic starter of homemade soup, served with fresh bread and butter. This a simple and delicious dish and is a great way to begin the menu.
For the main meal, we will be serving a classic hog roast, with sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, we will also be serving succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages. The mains will be served with roasted baby potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
To finish the menu, guests will choose between sticky toffee pudding and profiteroles, accompanied by fresh berries and English cream. This choice allows every guest to enjoy a delicious dessert alongside the beautiful wedding cake.
