Hog Roast Grove Place- High School Christmas Disco!

Hog Roast Grove PlaceSchool discos are a brilliant way to mark the end of term and reward students for all of their hard work by giving them the chance to unwind and have fun with their fellow classmates. And no disco is quite as legendary as the Christmas disco! Every year, kids of all ages look forward to getting dressed up for a night of dancing, playing party games and pigging out on great food – and who could blame them?

When you’re young, these spectacular events are an important part of the holiday experience. And we know from our own experiences that the kids will carry the memories they make at these celebrations with them for a lifetime!

For our Hog Roast Grove Place catering team, the lively atmosphere means these events are always lots of fun for us to work at. So, when we do get the chance to attend these revelries, we are always thrilled!

Fortunately for us, in the lead-up to Christmastime, we were hired to cover the catering for plenty of these types of events. The most recent of which saw us travel outside our usual vicinity to serve our Full Festive Menu at a festive disco, which was hosted by a private academy.

The students had played a big role in the organising of this event and had been allowed to vote on the theme, food and music. The voting results led the school to decorate the indoor gymnasium with ice-white, silver and navy blue balloons, tinsel, trees, garlands and lights ahead of the party. They had also hired a DJ to cover the music and a snow machine to fill the hall with fake flurries. As for other forms of entertainment, the kids had a photo booth to capture memories and popcorn and candyfloss carts to indulge their sweet tooth’s.

Hog Roast Grove PlaceHog Roast Grove Place’s catering duo, Darren and Claire, had spent all afternoon working on a lip-smacking buffet for the students, which consisted of free-range slow-roasted turkey with stuffing, cranberry sauce, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, gravy, roasties and seasonal veg. They also made sure to whip up some of our BBQ-pulled jackfruit rolls to give the veggies/vegans something delicious to eat.

Everyone was a fan of Hog Roast Grove Place’s cuisine, and throughout the night, the students and teachers happily munched on the food until all of our chafing dishes had been picked clean.
