If you’re at all familiar with Hog Roast Royston, then it probably won’t come as much of a surprise to find out that our team is a hopeless romantic bunch! We snap up every opportunity to help couples celebrate their love, which, yes, means we get to attend weddings on a very regular basis! How lucky are we?
Of course, it’s not just weddings that ooze the romantic atmosphere we adore so much. Wedding anniversary parties are also a common occurrence, and these can be just as magical – if not more so – than the big day itself!
Seeing that couples are still head over heels in love with each other after so many years of marriage is such an uplifting and wholesome experience. So, of course, when Murray and Cheryl told us they were planning to mark their 20th anniversary by renewing their vows and that they wanted Hog Roast Royston to manage the catering side of things, we jumped at the opportunity.
Helping them find the perfect menu to complement the occasion was our catering management duo, Darren and Claire. The pair were determined to give Murray and Cheryl a meal worthy of their platinum anniversary and had recommended our Hog Roast Dining Experience Menu, which is perfect for entertaining guests at formal events.
Murray and Cheryl were very excited about this menu, and they had lots of fun picking which dishes they wanted us to serve on the day. In the end, they opted for a canapé selection of mini pizza, mini quiche, pan-seared fillet of beef, roasted duck and chicken liver parfait, followed by a choice of three main course options. These consisted of our legendary hog roast, whole roasted sirloin of English beef and grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers with a choice of sides, including creamy dauphinoise potatoes, coleslaw and a classic Caesar salad.
When the day of the event arrived, Hog Roast Royston worked tirelessly to pull off this heavenly feast, which surpassed Murray and Cheryl’s expectations in every way. The food was flawlessly presented and full of flavour, which the guests continued to compliment throughout the evening.
Fresh fruit salad and indulgent chocolate torte were on the menu for dessert, which was a great way to end the night.
