After what felt like an eternity of winter, the sun is finally shining on Barnsley again – and you all know what that means, don’t you? That’s right – it’s officially beer garden season! Time to dust off your sunnies, slather on that SPF 30, and make a beeline for your local boozer for a cheeky tipple (or two!). And if you’re really lucky? You might even score something seriously tasty to go with your pint.
That’s exactly the vibe Tommy, one of our newest clients and proud pub owner, was going for. Wanting to make the most of the glorious sunshine and treat his loyal locals – and hopefully some fresh faces too – Tommy decided to pull out all the stops and host an epic hog roast event.
Ever the savvy spender, Tommy opted for Hog Roast Worsbrough self-rental service – the perfect way to keep costs low while still offering that wow-factor. Our DIY hog roast package gave Tommy the freedom to run the show his way. And even though he’d never roasted a whole pig before, he was game to give it a go!
Our team was more than happy to help him get set up. And, after a quick chat about his needs, we recommended the ideal machine and delivered it bright and early on the day of the event. Alongside the grill, we dropped off gas canisters and a full hog – sourced fresh from a local farm. We even gave him a crash course in how to get the best out of the grill.
Despite being a total hog-roasting novice, Tommy absolutely smashed it! The result? Mouthwatering pulled pork, golden crackling, and all the trimmings snuggled up in warm bread rolls. Punters were lining up for their complimentary hog roast roll, and let’s just say… one wasn’t enough. We’re told the guests were so impressed by the flavour and quality that they tried to sneak in seconds!
The best part? Tommy didn’t have to worry about washing up! Hog Roast Worsbrough collected the (very well-used!) grill the next morning and whisked it away for a professional clean.
