Just last week, our team packed up our roasting gear and headed to a nearby exhibition centre for a homebuilding and renovation trade show. This event, led by local experts, was buzzing with excitement, featuring over 130 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations. From free talks on planning regulations and self-building to cutting-edge energy efficiency advancements, there was something for everyone. And with over 1,000 eager attendees, the hosts knew that keeping everyone well-fed was key to a successful event.
Hog Roast Gawber was one of the select few food vendors invited to serve up deliciousness, and we were thrilled to be part of the action! Known for our fresh, hearty fare, our catering crew worked tirelessly, preparing a wholesome hog roast for the crowd. Our team made feeding the large audience look easy. With quick, efficient hands, they scored the swine’s skin, doused it with water, and rubbed it with salt before setting it on the grill to slow-roast to perfection.
Before we knew it, hours had passed, and the exhibition centre was alive with activity. People flitted from exhibit to exhibit, sat in on talks, and connected with fellow attendees. When they needed a break, they found a haven at our stall, where we recharged their batteries with our delicious hog roast.
Guests were smitten from the first bite. The tender, flavourful meat with crispy, lightly salted crackling, complemented by sage and onion stuffing and homemade applesauce, served on gluten-free rolls, was a hit. Hog Roast Gawber was a star attraction, serving plate after plate to grateful guests until every last bite was gone.
We were thrilled to be a highlight of the day and to have made the event even more memorable for everyone who attended!
